Neluki's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser

Jan 17, 2025

This year I am once again partnering with the Goddard School to raise money in honor of Landon Motter! Landon is 12 years old and is in remission from non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. See this heartwarming video when Landon was able to finally ring the bell, after undergoing six rounds of chemotherapy, signifying that he was now cancer-free!: Link.

Last year we raised over $6,000 from the Goddard School and Goddard School families! We are so grateful for the impact they made, and the Goddard School's generous donation!

I am so happy to be teaming up with The Goddard School again this year! It has been an amazing opportunity to partner with an organization that has always meant so much to me! I am so excited to see how much we will raise this year with the help of the amazing Goddard School families!

Team Closer to a Cure

Last year I joined this amazing campaign, and I raised $11,000! Through this campaign, I have learned and grown so much as a person. It has brought me passion, and the opportunity to make a real impact in the world!

This year I am leading my own team, Team Closer to a Cure, with ambitious goals to raise $100,000! I can't do this alone, and I need your support to reach this goal!

I decided to dedicate my time to LLS and SVOY because Leukemia is the most common cancer among children and teens under the age of 20, accounting for nearly one in three cancers. Although a significant portion of cancer patients are children and teens, research for youth cancer treatments is not profitable so there is very little research being done to find new treatments. LLS is working to fix this by funding research to help this cause and help many children that are struggling. Since its founding in 1949, LLS has contributed over $1.3 billion to the research of blood cancer; this research has a significant impact on not only this type of cancer but also those of the brain, breast, colon, prostate, pancreas, and skin.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

  • Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
  • Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
  • Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
